Coweta Charter Academy is more than just a school — it’s a community where children are given a safe, supportive, and academically rigorous environment.

But Georgia’s outdated funding formula, written in 1985, leaves charter schools like ours severely underfunded. The result? Critical teaching positions, paraprofessionals, and support staff are not covered. Unlike traditional districts, we also receive no local or SPLOST tax dollars to cover facilities, safety, or maintenance.

That means our teachers and students are forced to do more with less — larger class sizes, fewer electives, less tutoring, and fewer resources for hands-on learning.
