Dress Code
School Uniform Dress Code
2025-2026 CCA School Uniform Dress Code
Students must wear the CCA uniform and maintain a neat, clean, and safe appearance that does not disrupt
the school environment. Administrators will determine dress code violations. If a student is out of dress code,
parents/guardians will be contacted to bring appropriate clothing, and the student will remain in the front office
until changed. Inappropriate attire will not be accepted as it disrupts the instructional climate.
Students must wear khaki or navy bottoms with a solid white, navy, gray or red polo (short or long sleeve) or
a long-sleeve button-down Oxford shirt. Middle school students may also wear light/powder blue shirts.
Coweta Charter Academy spirit wear may be worn with uniform bottoms on any day. Bottoms may include
pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or dresses, which must fall below the student’s fingertips when arms are at their
sides.
Shoes must be closed-toe with a secure back and low heel. Crocs are not permitted. On PE days, students
must wear appropriate athletic footwear.
For cold weather, students may layer with a navy fleece, cardigan, navy hoodie, sweater, or sweater vest.
Other jackets brought to school must remain in bookbags during the school day. Leggings may be worn under
skirts if they are solid in color (neutral or uniform colors) and made of non-sheer, hole-free material.
CCA partners with J&R Uniforms and Land’s End for logoed or monogrammed uniform items, which must be
purchased through these vendors. When ordering online, use the provided size charts. Skorts labeled “at the
knee” meet the required length.
Students must have at least one red, logoed polo for special occasions such as picture day.

A belt must be worn at all times with pants and shorts that have belt loops. If a belt is required, it must pass through all the loops and be fastened appropriately. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students’ shorts and pants may not have belt loops, so they are not required to wear belts.

Pants and shorts must be worn properly at the waist and not sag below the top of the hips. Pants or shorts may not be rolled up or folded up. Shorts must be no shorter than two (2) inches above the knee and not longer than the top of the knee when standing. Capri style pants are not acceptable. Pants or shorts must not be overly form-fitting. Students wearing the top of their pants or shorts below their waist will be given a Disciplinary Referral Form for improper exposure and required to adjust their uniform.
-
P.E. Athletic Shorts in navy or red as determined by grade level (permitted only during P.E. or approved physical activity). Must be purchased through the CCA approved uniform vendor and have the CCA monogram. These are the only athletic shorts that may be worn for P.E. and/or approved school physical activities. Shorts may not be rolled up or folded up. Students wearing the top of their shorts below their waist will be given a Disciplinary Referral Form for improper exposure and required to adjust their uniform. (Note: We prefer red shirt and shorts for K-4 P.E., but understand that navy may be all that is available from a given vendor.)
-
P.E. Athletic Pants in navy (permitted only on P.E. days or for approved physical activity). Must be purchased through the CCA approved uniform vendor and have the CCA monogram. These are the only athletic pants that may be worn for P.E. and/or approved school physical activities. The athletic pants match the P.E. Athletic Jacket. Pants may not be rolled up or folded up. Students wearing the top of their pants or shorts below their waist will be given a Disciplinary Referral Form for improper exposure and required to adjust their uniform. (Note: We understand that track suits are only available in navy.)
4. Jumpers (Kindergarten through 5th grade only)
5. Polo Dresses (Kindergarten through 4th grade only)

Modesty Shorts (purchased through uniform vendor), bike shorts, or a cheerleading short in navy or red MUST be worn with all dresses. Shorts must be worn even if the student is wearing tights. If they are too short or the student does not wear shorts under their dress, the student will be given a Disciplinary Referral Form for improper exposure and parents will be called to bring shorts or other clothes to the school.
-
Pants, jeans, pajama bottoms, or other apparel may not be worn under the jumper. For modesty purposes, shorts MUST be worn under the dresses, however, long pants, jeans, pajama bottoms, or other apparel showing below the dresses are not permitted. (Note: If preferred, leggings in red, navy, or white are permitted in place of shorts under dresses for K-4th grade students.

-
Skirts are not permitted, unless as allowed in item c. below.
-
A calf or ankle length skirt in khaki or navy is available through a special vendor for students in grades 5-8 concerned with more coverage for modesty or religious reasons. Grommets, brads, or excessive ornamentation on the belt is not permitted. The belt must also be tightened enough to prohibit the student’s pants or shorts from sagging below the waist. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students are not required to wear belts.
